Diagnostic Study (Parts I and II - Main Contract)
The Diagnostic Study provides a comprehensive analysis of the Euro-Mediterranean transport system oriented towards policy makers, operators and private sector users
The Diagnostic Study includes :
- an assessment of the existing situation of the various transport sub-sectors in the MEDA region with a primary focus on the institutional, policy and regulatory dimensions;
- an analysis of the main problems and bottlenecks, and corresponding recommendations for improving the overall efficiency and quality of transport systems and services.
The Diagnostic Study is composed of two parts:
-
10 thematic modules: analysis of the MEDA regional transport system by theme or by cross-sector issues
-
12 country modules: analysis by theme and mode of the transport system in each MEDA country
Both parts are complementary to each other. The regional comparisons made in Part I are based upon the information provided in Part II.
Reports of the Diagnostic Study Review Meetings with National Coordinators
The meetings were carried out using a highly participatory and structured approach and were considered to be very successful by all participants.
