Objective
The objectives of the Impact Assessment are:
To demonstrate, when implemented, the Benefits and Impacts of the Common Aviation Area on the Air Transport Sector and on the economical and social development of the Region to secure the support and the endorsement of the High Level Decision Makers to the Concept of the Common Aviation Area
Methodology
The same methodology than the one for the Road Map was used with the participation of the Mediterranean Countries and the International Organisations (ACAC, EASA, ECAC and ICAO)
Four Short Term Experts (STE) were appointed to develop the Impact Assessment under the supervision of the Project Leader:

- 30 September 2008 : Euromed Seminar "Air Carriers competing in an open market" (14-16 October 2008 - Tunis, Tunisia)
- 20 July 2008 : Second session of free aviation courses open for registration
- 28 March 2008 : EUROMED-ECAC Joint Seminar for the MEDA Countries on Aviation Security (20-21 February 2008 - Paris)
- 25 March 2008 : EUROMED Aviation Free Courses Open for Registration
- 4 February 2008 : EUROMED-EASA joint seminar for the MEDA Countries on Safety and Environment (17-18-19 December 2007 - Cologne)
- 19 November 2007 : EUROCONTROL-EUROMED joint seminar for the MEDA countries on pan-European ATM functions (6, 7 and 8 November 2007 – Brussels)
- 5 March 2007 : Sofreavia (F), in consortium with Ecorys (NL), Ernst & Young (I), Ineco (E) and Lufthansa Consulting (D), have been chosen by the European Commission to implement the Euromed Aviation Project.
